The other extractors
📐 designed · not one of them has been run
ComfyUI’s preprocessor collection holds other lineart and edge extractors. Adding one takes a pair of nodes (swapping the source). They are listed here so that you know what exists, not as recommendations; to try one, look at its output against the four criteria in how to choose and put the numbers in ch. 19.
- LineArt (realistic / coarse): a learned lineart aimed at realism, whose coarse mode gives thicker and fewer lines. https://github.com/Fannovel16/comfyui_controlnet_aux
- AnyLine: combines TEED’s edges with LineArt’s lines into one image, designed for ControlNet. https://github.com/TheMistoAI/ComfyUI-Anyline
- TEED: a very small learned edge network producing soft edges. https://github.com/xavysp/TEED
- PiDiNet: edges from a pixel-difference network, with grey levels. https://github.com/hellozhuo/pidinet
- HED: holistically-nested edges, thick and soft. https://github.com/s9xie/hed
- Canny: the classic two-threshold edge detector, needing no model. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canny_edge_detector
- DiffusionEdge: edges from a diffusion model, slow. https://github.com/GuHuangAI/DiffusionEdge
- MLSD: straight line segments only, for architecture, of no use on a character. https://github.com/navervision/mlsd
